Banquets & Functions

Thank you for considering the Highland Inn as the location for your special event.  Here are some guidelines for planning your event at the Highland Inn:

Banquets are generally considered to be at least 20 persons.  Less than this amount can be handled as a reservation while our dining facilities are open and our regular menu and Dinner Specials will be offered.  It is always best to call for reservations to make sure we have seating available.
It is not economically feasible for us to bring in staff for less than 20 persons if our restaurant is not open.
A banquet buffet must have 30 persons to be set-up. If your group is less than 30 persons we can work with you on a plated menu.
Some weekends are busier and we cannot close our Dining Room or Tavern if it will inconvenience room guests. We will work with you on dates.  If your group also utilizes a large number of guest rooms, it will help us be more flexible on banquet space availability and times.

Seating:
The Monterey Dining Room can seat up to 60 persons for a plated dinner, or 52 persons for a Buffet.  Approximately 100 persons can be served with a Reception set-up.
The Black Sheep Tavern can serve up to 28 for a plated dinner but is not suitable for a Buffet.  Approximately 35 persons can be served with a Reception set-up.

The banquet menus should be used as guidelines, and we can work with your ideas for dining choices.  We will also serve plated meals from choices on our regular menu.  Pricing is the same, but we will include your salad, a non-alcoholic beverage and a Chef's selection of dessert for the price of the entree, which is also how we price our Banquet Menus.  Sales tax and an 18% gratuity are additional to all prices. Please give us a call and we can work with you to plan your function.
